Game companies settle in BDA one by one

Updated: 2021-05-28

"We are relocating the company and will officially enter the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) next month," said Liu Zhipeng, CPO of Beijing Dragon Punch Storm Technology Co., Ltd.

"In the fertile soil of the game industry in the BDA, we will work hard and strive to achieve the company's goal of over 5 billion yuan ($790 million) annual output value of game products by 2025," Liu noted.

2020 was the first year of the launch of e-sports in Beijing. In the past year or so, the BDA has issued a series of policies to build a number of e-sports centers and audio-visual industrial parks to attract e-sports and game companies.

Many game companies like Dragon Punch have been settling in the BDA one after another since then.

According to Liu, his company has been supported by BDA policies in terms of financial support, talent introduction, and approval of the construction of public service platforms, which solves problems from R&D to market launch of game companies.

Dragon Punch has five research projects, two of which have entered the end of development and are expected to convert to market operation in the third quarter of 2021.

The BDA Science and Culture Integration Industrial Park has reached an area of 500,000 square meters, and is home to professional facilities including the Beijing Smart E-sports Center, the Beijing New Online Game Technology Application Center, and the China (Beijing) High-tech Audiovisual Industry Base.

The park also provides game enterprises with innovative services such as green approval channels for game version numbers, 5G cloud game distribution, copyright protection and trading.
