The list of the first group of Beijing foreign-funded R&D centers in 2022 was released recently, and six companies among the 29 selected are from Beijing E-Town.

The companies selected this time include AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical (Beijing) Co, Beijing Pony Easyxing Technology Co, Varian Medical Equipment Trading (Beijing) Co, Phoenix Bridge Holdings (Beijing) Co, Beijing Dentsu Holdings Group Co and Li Ning (China) Sporting Goods Co. 

Among them, Li Ning (China) Sporting Goods Co is recognized as the foreign R&D headquarters.

As a global pharmaceutical multinational company, AstraZeneca China has increased its investment in Beijing, upgraded the former AstraZeneca Beijing Company to AstraZeneca's headquarters in northern China, and settled in Beijing E-Town.

Previously, AstraZeneca has created 14 integrated diagnosis and treatment solutions ranging from screening, diagnosis, treatment, to home rehabilitation, and promoted them to thousands of hospitals in China.

The company also built the Beijing International Life Science Innovation Park, using AstraZeneca's R&D abilities, medicine, market to help other enterprises.

AstraZeneca is not the only foreign-invested company thriving in Beijing E-Town. 

In 2016, Pony.ai was established in the Silicon Valley of the United States, and Beijing Pony.easy Technology Co is a research and development center established by Pony.ai in Beijing, which focuses on passenger car autonomous driving systems.

In the next step, Beijing E-Town will continue to do a good job in the application and service of foreign-funded R&D centers, help more such centers to be recognized.
