The China Association for Science and Technology released on Feb 20 the results of the "Innovation China" for 2022, which include eight companies and individuals.

Among those who made it were Beijing Tricision Biotherapeutics Inc, Beijing WeMed Medical Equipment Co, and DongFang JingYuan Electron Limited. 

"Tricision Biotherapeutics's freeze-dried mRNA-LNP vaccine carrier lipid nanoparticle (mRNA-LNP) vaccine uses an LNP delivery system with independent intellectual property rights, which greatly improves the stability and shelf life of the vaccine," said Li Shiyou, cofounder and CTO, in introducing the company.   

Li added that the vaccine has applied for multiple Chinese invention patents and PCT international patents.

The ETcath vascular intervention surgical robot developed by WeMed Medical is a minimally invasive vascular intervention surgical robot system that has achieved major breakthroughs in the industry. 

According to Tian, marketing director of WeMed Medical," The key technologies and components of the ETcath vascular intervention surgical robot are all independently developed by WeMed Medical.”

Meanwhile, the number of related patents for the system is leading in the field of surgical robots globally. It is the only domestically produced intervention surgical assistance system selected for the green channel of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA)."

Currently, the ETcath intervention surgical robot is going through the NMPA certification process, and has supported various types of surgeries in multiple hospitals, receiving widespread recognition.
