The 2024 Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) Data Security and Development Forum was recently held in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town), bringing together ICV regulatory authorities, industry experts and company representatives to discuss the latest developments and trends in ICV data security.

The event focused on the two main themes: "Geospatial information security and the development of ICV industry" and "Cross-border security management and institutional innovation of automotive data".

Attendees elaborated on the new regulations for geospatial information security, policy measures related to geospatial information security for autonomous driving, cross-border data security management systems and the interpretation of Beijing's negative list policy for cross-border automotive data.

Representatives from the Intelligent Connected Mobility Academy, National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center, NavInfo, Tianjin Inspection Center, Audi China and Bosch delivered speeches and shared their practical experiences.

Notably, this year's forum established the "Annual Outstanding Case" award to recognize benchmark cases that promote the work of data security and development in the ICV.

Six companies -- BMW, Audi, Xiaomi Auto, NIO, Bosch and Cariad -- received the "Annual Outstanding Case" award this year. Xiaomi Auto received an award in the "Data Compliance Solutions" category for its "Driving Data Compliance Solution".
