As the Year of the Snake approaches, the 2025 robot carnival of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) recently went live, presenting various robots on stage to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

As the "pearl" at the pinnacle of the manufacturing industry, robots are not only active on industrial production lines but are also being integrated into people's daily life in various ways.

At the carnival, there were not only robots playing soccer, painting, serving tea, making coffee, and practicing calligraphy, there were also "Tiangong" humanoid robots, UBTECH Alpha robots, and other "star celebrities" capturing attention.

Human-robot interaction was a highlight of the carnival. People paid attention to the "Tiangong" humanoid robot as they explored the Robot World Exhibition Hall, trying to learn how a robot spends its day.

From poetry recitations to situational skits, from dances to choir performances, the entire program focused on interaction between humans and robots.

The carnival vividly showcased remarkable progress in robot industry development in Beijing E-Town. Data indicates that in 2024, the industrial robot density in the area reached 384 units per 10,000 people.

Various types of robots are increasingly transitioning from factories to various industries and households, enriching and enhancing people's daily life.

At present, Beijing E-Town hosts more than a hundred robotics ecosystem companies, with a total output value of nearly 10 billion yuan ($1.37 billion), accounting for 50 percent of the city's entire robotics industry. Particularly in the field of humanoid intelligent robots, Beijing E-Town has established a complete industrial chain covering core components, main bodies and applications.

Beijing E-Town has plans to host a series of robot-related events, including the Humanoid Robot Half-marathon and the World Robot Conference. It is expected that by 2030, a leading domestic and world-class demonstration new city in the field of humanoid intelligent robotics will be established in the area.
